Strict version of "plastic restriction order" issued to curb white pollution

Recently, the Beijing municipal market supervision and Administration Bureau issued a related ban on the "plastic restriction order", which stipulates that from July 1, 2021, the use of non degradable plastic bags inside and outside the built-up area is prohibited, and the use of non degradable disposable plastic tableware is prohibited in built-up areas and scenic spots.

In December 2007, the "plastic restriction order" was issued, namely the "Notice of the general office of the State Council on restricting the production, sale and use of plastic shopping bags", so as to curb plastic pollution. It requires that the production, sale and use of plastic shopping bags with thickness less than 0.025mm shall be prohibited nationwide from June 1, 2008. In addition, supermarkets, shopping malls and other stores are paid for their use. Since July this year, the implementation of the ban has become more stringent. In order to strengthen the governance of environmental protection, it will be a more effective operation.
